Last June myself and Holly White became brand Ambassadors for french skincare company YonKa. This is a brand I’ve known and loved for about 15 years. I think it’s a good fit as they’re whole ethos is about natural care with top efficacy. For me with our healthy food business and small children at home I’ve been making moves towards healthier and more natural lifestyle choices and I try to reflect this in the products I use too.
The regime I’ve been using mostly is their Age Exception collection which comprises of a serum, contour cream, face cream and masque (which can be used as an overnighter too). I know opinions are subjective when it comes to results about face treatments but I can only speak from my own experience and say that I love how my skin is looking these days. I have plenty of fine lines and a few not so fine, also my neck is really starting to ‘loosen up’ Now while I don’t throw parties about these things I don’t lose sleep over it either. It’s all perfectly natural and just part of the ageing process. I don’t squirrel away money for that face lift for my 50th but instead accept that ageing is a a natural part of life and just aim to be the best that I can be – whatever age I am! Good products go a long way to keeping things ‘in check’.
Myself and Holly visited the YonKa factory just outside Paris last June at the very start of our appointment to meet eeryone and check out the wonderful set up where all the product is produced for worldwide distribution. Its an amazing company headed up by a wonderful lady Catherine who is one of the most engaging, passionate and funny women I have had the pleasure of meeting. (I promise I’m not sucking up here – I already have the gig!!! ) The care they take with the product is second to none with Catherine sample checking every batch they make. It really is a labour of love for the whole team.
So being a brand ambassador I was duly kitted out with all the products I was going to need after a visit to Lemons Beauty in Clontarf where Shauna evaluated my skin. I don’t think I’ve ever left a salon more giddy in my life – between the amazing Excellence Code facial which is the most incredible facial experience I’ve ever had and all the gorgeous products to go home and enjoy.
I’ve been using the products consistently since then and I love how my skin has been. Oh and I’ve been going for as many facials as I could squeeze in, mostly in Lemons but also trips to 5th Avenue on Clarendon st and the luxurious Farnham Estate in Co. Cavan. I can safely say that skin wise I haven’t been this satisfied in a long time.
